MoreThe food was pretty good and the customer service was really good not going to lie but just like the other review mentioned the food is really expensive compared to the alternatives and the food comes in really small portions. If 4 people want a solid meal you will have to spend at least $70 which compared to the other Indian restaurants in Calgary that charge $10 a person during lunch time in the NE. Also the tables were really crowded but didn't really impact the experience since from were we sat. Overall I would recommend it to anybody that lives in the NW but in NE their are better options.

MoreHad a great take out meal from this location. Like others, I didn’t have high hopes for a chain but was pleasantly surprised. Butter chicken was good and the chicken vindaloo was perfect. Naan was cooked to perfection. We would absolutely order from here again!
MoreYUMMY Indian food! We found out about this place when we got a flyer in the mail and decided to check it out. Their food is all delicious. The only reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is the the flyer also touted that they have hakka food, which is what got us super excited. But they don't really have that much of a selection for dine-in and that was quite a disappointment. Other than that, the food, location and service was good
MoreQuality Indian Food. They take the time to tailor your dish the way you like it. I especially like their Palak / Saag Chicken, tender chicken in a spinach cream sauce with Indian spices that only them can master. A bit pricy but well worth it for the quality.
MoreWe are never disappointed when we eat here. My little guy (8) is quite vocal about how much he loves the food. Yesterday the chef had quite the interaction with him and even went as far as to give him a sample of something we have never tried before. The kindness they show us and the quality of the food is what makes this our go-to place when we are craving Indian food. Thanks for an always amazing experience!

The dinner options are small and a little pricey, but I highly recommend the lunch buffet.The seating is nice, but it is quite small so there is not a lot of decoration.Of the Indian restaraunts I have been to, it is definitely one of the better ones, but not one of those amazing experiences. If I could, I would rate it 3.5, but 4 doesn't seem like too much of a stretch (especially if you don't require a lot of food and price isn't terribly important to you).
MoreAnother mistake I did based on the reviews from the website. Honestly a great disaster. I don't know if they really read the order description. I mentioned no beef, but still got the beef, which is okay. But the platter for 25$ , do you think it's really worth it? I'm not worried about the quantity, but the whole platter is totally dried up. You can't even take one piece from that platter. Prawn masala - no taste whatsover. Just plain blant shrimp in onion, tomato , bell pepper sauted... When you guys charging this much money, atleast try to give the quality even though quantity is less. Another place deceived by set of hyped up reviews. I woudn't recommend it. I gave one star because out of all the dishes I ordered, only I can taste it little bit is Bhajjia.. Will never visit again.

Veg samosas were also delicious, as was the sauce that came with it. Server was friendly and I have no complaints; maybe just need a waiting area to sit in while to-go orders are being made. Will order from here again.

MoreIt was okay. Had Butter Chicken (meh) and Korma Chicken (better). Neither were super flavourful but they didn't taste bad. Don't recommend the regular Nana bread, it was dry. At least get the butter one.

MoreI barely write reviews but feel i needed to share this experience. Their service was horrible... we sat down and she asked us what we wanted to drink. Then didn't come back to take our order or bring us our tea for 20 mins. There was only 2 tables and they were pretty much done their food. So we just left. Will never come here again.
MoreMe and my family dinned in the Green Chili last week and had an amazing experience. The service was professional, timely and very enjoyable. Great staff and amazing food. I loved the butter chicken and will never get it anywhere else ever again. I am completely addicted. I would 100 percent recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone!

Worst service
Last night i tried their Chicken Biryani for the first time, i ordered on phone and i didn't know the price so i ordered 2 Biryani. When i got there they charged me $33.60 for 2 Biryanis. Although from any other restaurant like Faisal Kabab Hut, Fatima, Dawat etc, i can get 4 (same size box) of Chicken biryani for $32 ($8 per box). And the taste was good as same as other restaurants. So Green Chili charged me more than double for what i could get from anywhere else. Never going there again!!!

MoreA below average experience at dinner time. We had butter chicken, appetizer platter( beef samosa, chicken and fish pakora) and regular naan. The service is good, table are very small even for two guests. Averages around $15/dish which after tasting the food feels a lot more expansive.

MoreI have just moved to Calgary from Australia over two years ago and I couldn't find a single Indian restaurant that was as amazing as this one! I ordered food from here last night and it was absolutely fantastic! The food was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were decent. You can tell that the food that is being served is super fresh! The employees were also very accommodating and helped us on how much to order for the number of people I was hosting. I would honestly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an awesome and delightful experience! Way to go green chili!

Very mediocre environment and flat taste. Service was good but small portion size compare to what they charging for it. Not everything I order felt freshly made. In my honest opinion, this place can do much better, but for now I won't recommend it to other people.
